Thanks for your participation in the 2018 Australasian Rogaining Championships, ‘The SunSEQer’. (OK, so maybe the name was a little misleading!) The organising team enjoyed putting the event together, and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves (sorry about the rain! It really was rather unusual).
We have been gradually posting results and photos to the event website, there will be more added in the next few days:
Congratulations to all category placegetters. Podium photos have been posted to Facebook.
One feature that some of the ‘rogaining tragics’ amongst you might appreciate is that you can now look up any individual’s historical results in all of the ARCs going back to 1979:

Can anyone beat David Rowlands‘ attendance record of 26 out of 39?

If you missed out on the event merchandise and would still like to order some, we have extended the closing date of the online store until 31 August (this Friday). So you can put in an order here and request delivery to your home address: http://www.qldrogaine.asn.au/qraonline/html/wp/merchandise/
Wondering what to do next? There are some great 24hr rogaines coming up:
Also, we got a great turnout from New Zealand at the ARC (26 entrants) so it would be great if we can get a good number of Aussies going over to the NZ Rogaining Champs on 24-25 November:
There are direct flights from Brisbane so there really is no excuse 🙂
Further ahead, the 2019 Australasian Rogaining Champs will be held in Tasmania in the stunning Bay of Fires region on 9-10 November 2019. This will be an event you must not miss. Put it in your calendar now!

You all now know how fun these ARC events are, so there’s no excuse for not coming along every year!
Thanks very much to all of the volunteers who contributed to the event, it was a really good team effort. Thanks also to our caterers (Manumbar Campdraft Association and Rogue Catering) and all of the landholders who generously allowed us access. And thanks to our sponsors Gympie Regional Council and Wildfire Sports for their support.
We’ll look forward to seeing you at another event soon,
Paul G, Richard, Paul F, Tim, Peter, Linda and the rest of the QRA organising team.
